Dr. Lourdes M. Javier
District Director
West Central Luzon
Dr.
Lourdes M. Javier was born on August 3, in the Lahar
world of Bacolor, Pampanga. “Lou”, as
she is fondly called, was blessed with four beautiful
children and at present seven grandchildren, and still
increasing. But she is first and foremost blessed
with a diligent and loving husband who is fondly called
“Erning” and who eventually became a business
tycoon in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Lou graduated from the University of
the Assumption with a degree of Bachelor of Science
in Education; obtained her MA in Education from Ateneo
de Manila University; and her Doctorate Degree in
Education at the Centro Escolar University. I intentionally
skipped the dates and would like to talk more about
her professional experiences.
Lou started her professional life as
an elementary classroom teacher at the University
of the Assumption (UA). Take note and listen carefully
as I tell you how she started from bottom to top and
rose in ranks. After being a classroom teacher, she
became the principal of the Elementary Department
of UA. She then was promoted as the registrar; by
that time she was already a Professor 3 teaching in
college and in the graduate school of UA. Sometime
in June of 1982, she became the Vice President for
Administration. She got tired of just being an employee
being promoted so she founded her own school - the
San Lorenzo Ruiz Center of Studies and Schools, Inc.
- in September of 1990, and is now the President of
the said learning institution. Whew! What an achievement.
Here are some of her civic involvements:
Lou is a Board Member of the Foundation
for Lingap Kapampangan and has been President of the
City of San Fernando “Alay Lakad Foundation,
Inc. Since 2005, she has been the Education Chair
of the Multi-Sectoral Governance Council, City of
San Fernando. She has been a member of the Executive
Council Board of the GSP Pampanga.
Involvement in Religious Organizations
and Activities:
Lou is an officer or a member of various
committees and organizations in the Archdiocesan,
Vicariate and Parish levels of the Archdiocese of
San Fernando, Pampanga.
Lou was served as President of SI Pampanga
from 1998-2000. She has served as chairperson of Education
and Adopt a Barangay at the Region level. She became
District Director-Elect of the West Central Luzon
District in 2006 and currently serves as District
Director of West Central Luzon.
Because of her multifarious activities
and services to the City of San Fernando, the province
of Pampanga and the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga,
Lou has received the following awards and commendations:
Archbishop Paciano Aniceto Award, Archdiocese of San
Fernando; Most Outstanding Fernandino in the field
of Education, City of San Fernando; Most Outstanding
Kapampangan in the field of Private Education, Provincial
Government; Golden Award/Most Outstanding President
of West Central Luzon District, SIPR; and Outstanding
President, SIPR.
Lou has traveled extensively in the
Philippines and abroad for professional, business
or personal enrichment.
