SOROPTIMIST DANCE CHALLENGE

Dear Presidents,
Greetings from SIPR!
At
the outset, let me greet all of you, a blessed, bountiful
and exciting New Year. After those long hectic holidays
of the past year, let me usher you into the first
of a string of Soroptimist activities in 2009. I have
been appointed Chairperson of the fellowship event
we now call “Soroptimist Dance Challenge”
. The culmination of the friendly, fun -filled -dance
competitions showing “Soroptimist Got Talent”
started during the district meetings early this biennium.
This activity hopes to foster camaraderie, friendship,
goodwill and health enhancement for members of the
Soroptimist organization.
Let me give you some important details:

To ensure fairness in the selection
of winners, I have invited professional dancers as
Judges or in dance terminology as Adjudicator for
the event. Please join and have loads of fun. Lots
of prizes await the winners for the four categories
of competition. Please be informed that all participants
should provide their own DIs (better known today as
Dance Skills Trainers (DST). All participants and
audience in the affair must have tickets before entry
into the ballroom premises.
The organizing committee has agreed
that participation fee will not be charged, however
all participants are required to place an AD in the
souvenir program for a fee of P1,000. This will include
their photograph, member number, club affiliation
and a brief biodata. Please send to SIPR your favorite
photo not later than Feb. 15, 2009.
To avoid any distraction and disturbance
of proceedings, we will not allow personal photographers/videos
in the venue. We shall have an official photographer
who will take your photographs to commemorate the
event. We have hired a professional director for the
SHOW.
Soroptimist doctors will be on standby
during the event for your safety, security and well
being. However, we shall ask all participants to sign
a waiver exempting SIPR from any liability in the
unlikely event of an accident during your performance.
Entry Forms are attached. Please accomplish
this form and send it back to SIPR not later than
Feb. 15, 2009 together with the participants photos,
brief biodata and payment of P1,000 for the souvenir
program. We encourage the active participation of
the club. The competition is open to all Soroptimists,
even those who failed to participate during our district
meetings.
